Motorcycle RidesRide Summary
A 38km ride on the Gorge Road is great fun. The ride follows the Torrens River with twisties widning through Black Hill Conservation Park, Kangaroo Creek Reservoir, Cudlee Creek, Gumeracha and on into Birdwood.
Ride Description
This ride is great fun. What might have been a shorter distance with a straight road from Campbelltown to Cudlee Creek is actually a series of finer and finer challenging corners.
The road seems to have recovered a bit of its equilibrium as it gets a bit straighter from here to Gumeracha. This Gorge Road is still following the Torrens River pretty closely, so when the river bends, so does the road.
It’s easy sailing from here on to Birdwood and the National Motor Museum where ever changing exhibits are always of interest and worth checking out.
Directions
Depart Campbelltown via the Gorge Road and follow it all the way to Birdwood.

Best Thing About This Ride
The camaraderie and feeling of brotherhood shared with the many other bikers you meet along this route. Riders from all over the world come here from time to time. It’s a great place to meet like-minded friends.
What Else To Look Out For
Nothing of note other than the aforementioned tighter and tighter curves between Cudlee Creek and Gumaracha, especially in wet weather.
